James Milton Moore, Sr.

(1898-1990)

James Milton Moore, Sr. was born in the Dixon and Waldo community of Neshoba County, Mississippi on June 18, 1898 to William Robert Moore and Martha Emma James. He was always known as Milton Moore. 

There has always been some confusion over the name suffix for James Milton Moore in that the original, which really should have carried the suffix "Sr.", was the grandfather of Milton rather than his father. Hence, in our generation, Milton was "Sr.", Jim has always carried "Jr." and Chip is the "III".

Milton married Mary Frances Baggett on June 6, 1925 in Meridian, Mississippi.

Milton died on March 7, 1990 and is buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Union, Mississippi next to Mary.

James Milton (Jim) Moore, Jr. was the only child of Milton and Mary.
